The Script

Sometime ago I wrote a script with two friends for a internal highschool competition.

The short was about 20min in length, the awkward story was based on the relationship that I had with three friends during the first year of high school. We were all freshmen in that institution, so I guess we ended up together because we were all lost in that new world so we shared that in common in the beginning.

I won’t go to explain how the short film compares to real life, but I’ll say that probably 95% of what was there didn’t happen. The idea actually came from something a friend commented about the way we would give advice. One was more optimistic, the other was more pessimistic and I was more realistic.

It just sounded very cool to actually develop some sort of script on character study based on that (even if an amateur one, but hey we all need to start somewhere).

We won in five categories, including Best Movie. It was a perfect send-off for high school.
