How Annihilation Changed Me

Picked up after seeing the movie and getting intrigued by the theme of self-destruction. The visuals in the film were wild as well and I curious to see how that was transcribed. Needless to say that the book threw me off completely. Honestly, I had no idea what “Space Horror” even was. It’s a whole different vibe compared to the movie. It was like having dry cereal with no milk—oddly engaging, but not exactly satisfying. It didn’t always sit well with me, but I can’t deny that the atmosphere was eerie and unsettling. I prefer the movie adaptation though.
